League Two roundup: Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's Burton Albion continue hot form

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's League Two action as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's Burton Albion continue their hot form with a 3-1 victory over Cheltenham Town.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink continued his hot streak as Burton Albion manager as his side beat Cheltenham Town 3-1 away from home in League Two this afternoon.

The Dutchman, a former striker for Chelsea and Leeds United, has lost just once since taking over the Brewers in November.

The result also takes Burton to the top of the table, above Wycombe Wanderers and Shrewsbury Town.

Wycombe could only manage a 1-0 victory over Cambridge United, who went down to 10 men in the early stages of the second half.

Shrewsbury maintained their unbeaten home record as Tyrone Barnett scored a late equaliser against Phil Brown's Southend United.

Playoff hopefuls Luton Town could only manage a 1-1 draw with Oxford United, as John Mullins cancelled out Jayden Stockley's opener for the away side.

Adebayo Akinfenwa scored a brace to take his tally to 13 for the season as AFC Wimbledon toppled Newport County, who were a player and a manger down following Justin Edinburgh's departure to Gillingham.

Promotion chasers Exeter City and Bury shared the points at Gigg Lane as Daniel Nardiello equalised after an early Arron Davies opener.

Carlisle United gave themselves a bit of breathing space in the bottom half of the table by beating fellow strugglers Tranmere Rovers 2-0.

Dagenham & Redbridge continue to climb away from the relegation scrap and beat York City 2-0 away from home today.

Portsmouth add another loss to Hartlepool United's record for the season. Matt Tubbs scored his 13th goal of the season and the only goal of the game at Fratton Park.

Marc Richards keeps his place as the league's top scorer for another week, after scoring his 16th of the campaign in Northampton Town's 2-1 victory over Morecambe.

Lewis Alessandra's strike just before half time was enough to earn Plymouth Argyle the points against Accrington Stanley, while Reggie Lambe scored the only goal of the game as Mansfield Town beat Stevenage.
