AFC Wimbledon first-team coach Simon Bassey says that Christian Jolley still has a future at the League Two club.

AFC Wimbledon first-team coach Simon Bassey has insisted that Christian Jolley is still part of their plans at the club.

The 24-year-old joined Newport County on loan last month and has scored three goals in three games for the Welsh club, but Bassey has revealed that they are monitoring his form.

"We are monitoring Christian's progress closely and he has gone away and scored three goals in three games. We have seen in the past that when players go away and do well on loan, then the door is never shut," Bassey told the club's official website.

"He is a terrific lad and has a great attitude for hard work - I never expected anything less from him. We are getting good reports from Newport about Christian so he is not out of our minds."

Jolley joined AFC Wimbledon from Kingstonian in 2010.
