AC Ajaccio came from a goal behind to claim all three points from their encounter against nine-man Sochaux this evening.
All the action in took place after the restart following an opening 45 minutes that failed to see either goalkeeper called into action.
The away side broke the deadlock after 58 minutes when Sloan Privat nodded in a cross from Marvin Martin.
However, just one minute later Sochaux were a man light as David Sauget was handed his marching orders for a late challenge. Christian Kinkela took the penalty that resulted from Sauget's foul, but he was unable to keep his effort on target.
With eighteen minutes remaining the visitors were reduced to nine men when Yassin Mikari was shown a straight red card for deliberate handball inside the area. Kinkela made amends on this occasion, sending his penalty straight down the middle and into the net.
The same player had a chance to win the match for the hosts in the closing stages, but his right-footed effort dragged wide of the target.
The winning goal eventually arrived four minutes from time when Richard Socrier headed in from six yards out to hand the hosts all three points.
