Pep Guardiola: 'It is impossible to dominate Arsenal'

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola claims that it is impossible to dominate Arsenal for 90 minutes as the teams prepare to meet in the Champions League.

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has claimed that it is impossible to dominate Arsenal for 90 minutes ahead of tonight's clash between the teams in the Champions League.

Defending champions Bayern make the trip to the Emirates Stadium this evening for the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Despite his side being the favourites to go through to the quarter-finals, Guardiola believes that Arsenal will provide his players with a stern test.

"I have learned that you can never dominate Arsenal for 90 minutes," he told reporters. "You can dominate for 30 minutes, to half time, for 75 minutes, but for 90 minutes it is impossible.

"If you look at Arsenal, with these quality players, you always have a problem."

Bayern defeated Arsenal on away goals at this stage of last season's competition before going on to beat Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley Stadium.
