Harry Kane's record vs. Arsenal

Ahead of Saturday's North London derby at Wembley, Sports Mole looks at Harry Kane's previous goalscoring record for Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur welcome Arsenal to Wembley for the final North London derby of the season on Saturday lunchtime in what could prove to be a pivotal match in the race for a top-four spot in the Premier League table.

Spurs are just one point off the pace as things stand and know that they will temporarily climb into the Champions League places if they are simply able to avoid defeat, whereas Arsenal are five points behind and in need of victory.

The Gunners have a fresh feel about them with their new-look attack, but the main goal threat on the pitch will be Tottenham's Harry Kane, who once again leads the Premier League's scoring charts this season.

Kane has a notoriously good record in London derbies, and here Sports Mole looks at his stats from previous clashes with Arsenal.

Harry Kane vs. Arsenal

Kane thrives on the big stage, averaging almost a goal per game in his seven previous meetings against Arsenal. Indeed, in the Premier League his ratio does hit that goal-every-game milestone, having only played six top-flight matches against the Gunners.

The only time the England international has failed to find the back of the net against Arsene Wenger's side came in the reverse fixture earlier this season, though, with Arsenal running out 2-0 winners at the Emirates Stadium in November.

Prior to that, Kane had scored in all five of his league derbies, netting six goals in that time to help Spurs to two victories and three draws.

Kane was, however, on the losing side in an EFL Cup third-round clash in 2015-16, also drawing a blank in what was only his second ever taste of the North London derby.

The prolific striker has scored four goals in as many home games against Arsenal and has never failed to find the back of the net when his side are hosting their near-neighbours in the Premier League.
