Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta is hopeful that Arsene Wenger will stay at the club beyond the summer when his contract expires.
The Frenchman has yet to sign a new contract with the Gunners to extend his 17-year stay with the club, but Arteta is confident that the uncertainty is not having an adverse affect on the team.
He told The Mirror: "I don't know what the idea is. I think the boss has been here long enough to know when the right moment is to make that decision and the board too.
"Whether it is done, nobody knows, but that's not affecting what we're going to do for the rest of the season. I'm sure he will make the right decision and, hopefully, he'll continue."
The Gunners take on Everton later today as they look to continue their push for a Champions League berth for next season.
