Arsenal's Mikel Arteta quells Invincibles talks

Mikel Arteta dismisses suggestions that Arsenal can repeat the feat of the Invincibles side that won the Premier League in 2003-04.

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has calmed down talks of his side being as good as the Invincibles of the 2003-04 season.

Arsene Wenger's team won the Premier League that campaign without losing a single game and the Gunners' recent form has flared suggestions that they could repeat that feat this term.

"I don't think we are at that level yet, but competition makes everyone work harder so it is a great thing because it raises the level," Sky Sports News quotes the Spanish midfielder as saying. "If you don't play well for one or two games, then you can be dropped.

"We have players to come back like Santi [Cazorla] and Abou Diaby and that's the way we want it. When it is really tough, everyone is at 100% and that makes a big difference."

Arsenal have won their last 10 matches in all competitions.
