Marouane Chamakh: 'I have nothing to prove to Arsenal'

Crystal Palace forward Marouane Chamakh believes that he has got nothing to prove to his former club Arsenal ahead of facing the Gunners today.

Crystal Palace striker Marouane Chamakh has said that he does not believe that he has anything to prove to his former club Arsenal ahead of his return to the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.

The Morocco international endured an indifferent three-year spell with the Gunners before sealing a summer move to Selhurst Park.

He told The Guardian: "They're a team I always followed, a team I've loved, but that page has turned.

"Now it's important to feel wanted and to show what I can do, but I have nothing to prove to Arsenal. Nothing at all."

The encounter is scheduled to kick off at 4pm.
