Seamus Coleman: 'Race for fourth place too close to call'

Everton defender Seamus Coleman believes that the battle for Champions League qualification will be settled on the final day of the season.

Everton defender Seamus Coleman has claimed that the battle for the final Champions League spot will be settled on the final day of the season.

The Toffees returned to within a point of fourth-placed Arsenal on Sunday thanks to a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Manchester United.

While the Gunners have been tipped to clinch the final qualification position, Coleman believes that Everton will push them all the way.

"It was very important for us [to beat Manchester United] and we move on now and try to get fourth spot," the Irishman told Sky Sports News. "I think it will come down to the wire."

Everton are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they travel to Southampton.
