Francis Coquelin desperate for success in North London derby

Francis Coquelin admits that he is desperate to deliver victory for the Arsenal fans when they meet Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Francis Coquelin has revealed that he is relishing the prospect of facing a hostile atmosphere when Arsenal take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The French midfielder has played a key role in Arsenal's recent impressive form after returning from a loan spell at Charlton Athletic, and he is desperate to help the Gunners deliver more success for the supporters at White Hart Lane.

"It's a massive game for the club and the fans," Coquelin told Arsenal Player. "I think everyone is looking forward to it. The Manchester City match was a big one, and this one has got a special something about it.

"Even at youth level, we got a lot of stick from their fans and the atmosphere was really good. It just makes you want to do even better for your team and win the game.

"When you play for Arsenal against Tottenham, it's not about just playing your game, it's about winning. You have to win it. For the fans and the team it's a big game and it's one we want to win."

Arsenal are unbeaten in the last four North London derbies in all competitions, but were held to a 1-1 draw by Spurs in September.
