Mikel Arteta is reportedly not considering leaving his assistant role at Manchester City amid links with the managerial role at Arsenal and Everton.

Mikel Arteta will reportedly not consider leaving his assistant role at Manchester City this season amid links with the managerial role at Arsenal and Everton.

Arsenal parted ways with Unai Emery at the end of last month following a seven-game winless run, while Everton dispensed with Marco Silva soon after the club's 5-2 defeat at Liverpool.

Having played for the Toffees and the Gunners, Arteta has been listed as a candidate for both roles, with some reports claiming that he was favourite for the position at the Emirates.

According to The Athletic, however, Arteta has not contemplated the prospect of filling the vacant positions at Arsenal or Everton.

The Spaniard is said to feel loyal to Pep Guardiola and believes that he has a lot to gain from staying in his current position at the Etihad.

Guardiola recently stressed that he expected Arteta to remain with the Premier League champions until at least the end of the 2019-20 season.
