Spurs boss Harry Redknapp says that chanting by Arsenal fans towards Emmanuel Adebayor is "disgusting".

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has said that chants by Arsenal fans directed at Emmanuel Adebayor were "disgusting".

The former Gunners striker was subjected to abuse throughout his latest club's 2-1 win against Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

"What was chanted at Emmanuel was disgusting," Redknapp told BBC Sport.

"There was some pretty disgusting chanting at me as well but that's life. How do you chant something like that at someone? You can't be right mentally. You need help."

When asked if he was disappointed with the atmosphere in the stadium, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "Yes. We respect everybody and want to be respected as well."

The win has moved Spurs up to sixth in the Premier League table, while Arsenal have slipped down to 15th.
