Theo Walcott warns Tottenham to 'look over their shoulder' following Arsenal's 2-1 win over Newcastle, which left the Gunners just a point behind their North London rivals.

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has warned rivals Tottenham Hotspur to 'watch out' following his side's late 2-1 win over Newcastle United tonight.

The England international topped off a man-of-the-match performance by providing Thomas Vermaelen's 94th-minute winner at the Emirates.

Walcott believes that Arsenal, who are now just a point behind Spurs, can overtake their North London neighbours in the chase for Champions League qualification.

"Tottenham have got to be watching over their shoulders now," said Walcott.

"We're just getting our jobs right. Defensively we've been fantastic, and we know we can always score goals.

"We've got a lot of players coming back to fitness. It's been an up and down season and it's the way you finish that's important."

Walcott scored twice for the Gunners in their 5-2 victory over Spurs a fortnight ago.
