Arsene Wenger claims that Arsenal's season is not over following their defeat in Milan.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that his side's season is not over following their Champions League defeat.

The Frenchman, who takes his team to the Stadium of Light this weekend, insists that Arsenal have the character to bounce back from their defeat in Milan and leave Sunderland with a win for the second weekend in a row.

"There was not one moment in the 90 minutes we were in the game," he said.

"What made it worse is that we had to chase the game. It was the same problem, balls over the top and we were well beaten.

"I think it is better not to talk too much. We need to regroup for the next game. The season is not finished. We have character and mental strength. We can respond."

Meanwhile, Arsenal are in fourth place in the Premier League on goal difference alone.
