Arsenal's Arsene Wenger expects open Premier League title race

Arsene Wenger believes that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur could challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool can challenge for the Premier League title.

The Gunners are currently at the top of the table, level on points with North London rivals Spurs, while the Reds, who were unbeaten until last weekend, sit in fifth.

When asked by reporters in a news conference who he expects to be fighting for the title, Wenger replied: "The top four of last year, Liverpool, Tottenham, all of these teams. It looks like it is certainly [open] at the moment."

Wenger also expects Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City to be challenging by the end of the season.
