Arsene Wenger frustrated with draw against Manchester City

Arsene Wenger says that he is frustrated by Arsenal's inability to claim all three points in today's Premier League draw with champions Manchester City.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he is frustrated with his team's 2-2 draw against Manchester City this afteroon.

The Gunners were seven minutes away from claiming three points in their Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium before a late header from Martin Demichelis ensured that the scores finished level.

Wenger's side had come from behind after trailing in the first half and, while he was pleased at the quality shown by them to take the lead, he was left disappointed at their inability to see the game out.

"I think we produced a game of top quality," Arsenal's official website quotes Wenger as saying. "It was a game of top quality between two very good teams, played at tremendous pace, especially in the first half.

"We were unlucky to be 1-0 down in the first half and we did something remarkable to come back and be in a leading position. The only frustrating thing for me is that we didn't manage to keep the lead and gave a cheap goal away.

"That's where we have room for improvement because it was a very encouraging game but the way we conceded the second goal nearly killed our game because we could have lost afterwards - it was just a mental blow. But overall I think it was a top quality game."

Arsenal have now won one and drawn three of their first four matches of the Premier League season.
