Arsene Wenger has described Mesut Ozil's Arsenal debut as "outstanding".
The German international, who arrived at the North London club from Real Madrid following a reported £42.5m move on transfer deadline day, was handed his debut in today's 3-1 victory at Sunderland.
It took the 24-year-old just 10 minutes to lay on his first assist for the club, as he fed Olivier Giroud to open the scoring.
"He was absolutely outstanding," manager Wenger told Sky Sports News after the game.
"In the second half he was lacking a bit physically, but considering he has been ill this week, he was very good."
Arsenal are now top of the Premier League after three consecutive victories.
