Arsenal lineup vs. Bournemouth: Predicted XI for Premier League clash

Will Saka, Martinelli play? How Arsenal could line up against Bournemouth

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is thought to have a reasonable chance of being fit for Saturday's Premier League game against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The 23-year-old suffered a hamstring injury while playing for England, while fellow attacker Gabriel Martinelli picked up a calf concern on Brazil duty.

However, a recent report claimed that Saka is optimistic about his chances of being available for the weekend, while Martinelli was able to make the bench for Brazil's World Cup qualifier versus Peru on Tuesday but was a late arrival back from South America.

Martinelli may therefore be consigned to a spot on the bench, as Leandro Trossard starts on the left with Gabriel Jesus through the middle, and Saka will surely start on the right flank if he is fit enough.

Thomas Partey was forced into a right-back role in the 3-1 win over Southampton due to injuries, and the Ghana international - who is expected to be back from illness for the weekend - could be forced to continue in that slot on Saturday.

Indeed, both of Ben White and Jurrien Timber are still major doubts, while Takehiro Tomiyasu is definitely sidelined, so Jorginho could start in the holding role as Declan Rice and first-time Premier League starter Mikel Merino also man the midfield.

David Raya's place in goal was never under threat, but his backup Neto cannot face his parent club, so 16-year-old Jack Porter - Arsenal's youngest-ever male starter - might make up the numbers on the bench.

Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Raya; Partey, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Merino, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Jesus, Trossard
