Arsenal are pursuing a deal for young Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to Spanish website Fichajes.net.
The 19-year-old has impressed since stepping up to the senior team last campaign, scoring five times in 33 league appearances to attract interest from a host of clubs across Europe.
Ceballos's form prompted the Seville side to reward him with a new five-year contract in October with a release clause set at £9.2m, potentially rising to £11.5m with bonuses.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now thought to be considering snapping up the young talent but faces competition from Atletico Madrid and Napoli, who have also been credited with an interest.
