Arsenal are reportedly in advanced talks with Borussia Monchengladbach over a possible deal to sign goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
The Gunners have already brought in one new shot-stopper this summer, but new boss Unai Emery is keen to increase his squad's strength in depth and has identified Sommer as a possible candidate to provide competition for new signing Bernd Leno.
Marca reports that Arsenal are close to completing a deal for the Switzerland number one, who was part of his country's squad at this summer's World Cup.
Any deal for Sommer is likely to increase speculation over the futures of Petr Cech and David Ospina, both of whom have been linked with moves away from the club following the arrival of Leno.
Emery has already made five signings during his first transfer window as Arsenal manager as he looks to bolster his squad in a bid to challenge for a top-four place in the Premier League next season.
