Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate.
The 21-year-old missed the majority of last season through injury, but has since re-established himself as an important member of Julian Nagelsmann's first team at Leipzig.
Sport Bild claims that a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are interested in signing the defender, possibly as early as the January transfer window.
However, Leipzig are reluctant to lose Konate, particularly with his centre-back partner Dayot Upamecano widely expected to leave the club next summer.
Konate has a €50m (£44.9m) release clause in his contract and the report claims that Leipzig would be unwilling to accept anything below that fee.
The France Under-21 international is contracted to Leipzig until 2023 and has made 79 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit in total.
