Arsenal are reportedly keen to pay any fee for Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic over a four-year period.

Arsenal are reportedly keen to pay any fee for Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic in instalments if they can convince the player to move to the Emirates Stadium.

While it has been widely reported that the Serbia international wants to see out the campaign with his current club, speculation persists that Arsenal want to get a deal over the line in January.

As well as trying to convince the 21-year-old to make the switch to North London, Arsenal must also reach an agreement with Fiorentina over a fee.

According to The Independent, Arsenal's preference is to spread any payment over four years, rather than pay in the region of £62.5m up front.

The report adds that Fiorentina would prefer most of the fee straightaway, presenting the possibility of a stumbling block in negotiations.

Although other clubs are keen on the forward, Arsenal are currently the only realistic option when it comes to a January transfer.
