Roma will reportedly reignite their interest in Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka during this summer's transfer window.
The Italian giants were strongly linked with the 29-year-old last summer, but he remained at the Emirates Stadium and penned a new contract until June 2024.
Xhaka has missed 10 Premier League games this season due to a mixture of suspension and injury, but he has been an important player for Mikel Arteta's side when available for selection.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma boss Jose Mourinho is still determined to bring the Switzerland international to the club this year.
The report claims that Xhaka is the 'first name' on Mourinho's shortlist of summer targets, although it is unclear whether Arsenal's valuation of the midfielder is still £17m.
The Swiss has scored 13 goals and registered 21 assists in 232 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Borussia Monchengladbach in July 2016.
