Arsenal 'lining up move for Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno'

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno when his contract at Anfield expires next summer.

Arsenal are reportedly considering a bid for Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno next summer.

Moreno will be out of contract at Anfield at the end of the current campaign and is understood to have rejected the offer of an extension, having fallen behind Andrew Robertson in the pecking order.

A number of top European clubs including Barcelona and Real Madrid are understood to be monitoring the 26-year-old ahead of a possible free transfer next summer.

The Mirror reports that Arsenal also now hold an interest in the full-back, with manager Unai Emery eager to provide more competition for the 32-year-old Nacho Monreal.

Emery has previously worked with Moreno during their time together at Sevilla and sees the Spaniard as a better option than Sead Kolasinac at left-back.

Moreno joined Liverpool in 2014 and has gone on to make 134 appearances for the club across all competitions.
