Report: Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur to battle over Stevenage teenager Ben Wilmot

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in a move for highly-rated Stevenage defender Ben Wilmot in the summer.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign highly-rated Stevenage defender Ben Wilmot.

The 18-year-old came through the ranks at the League Two club and has made 10 appearances in all competitions so far.

According to The Sun, the North London rivals rate Wilmot highly and are set to move for the teenager this summer after failing with January bids.

The report goes on to claim that Arsenal and Spurs sent youngsters on loan to Stevenage in January - Ben Sheaf and Luke Amos - in hope of currying favour with regards to a future move for Wilmot.

West Bromwich Albion are also believed to be interested in Wilmot as a long-term replacement for Jonny Evans.
