Arsenal are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for midfielder Granit Xhaka during the January transfer window.
Last month, Xhaka reacted angrily towards supporters who cheered his substitution against Crystal Palace, resulting in a spell out of the squad.
Manager Unai Emery decided earlier this week to strip Xhaka of the club captaincy, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang now considered to be the skipper at the Emirates Stadium.
According to The Mirror, the Gunners may now look to sell the 27-year-old at the midway point of the campaign.
While Xhaka still has over three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, the Premier League outfit could consider allowing the player to leave for a cut-price fee.
Emery is well stocked for options in the middle of the park, although Xhaka's exit would free up space for a new addition.
