Arsenal to pay Mesut Ozil £200,000 a week?

A report claims that Arsenal are hoping to convince Mesut Ozil to commit his future to the club by offering him terms worth £200,000 a week.

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to make Mesut Ozil their first ever £200,000-a-week player.

The German playmaker's present deal, which is believed to be worth £60,000 less, has two years left to run.

As a result, the Gunners are eager to tie the 27-year-old down to lengthier terms, according to the Daily Mail.

The report adds that the North London outfit are ready to break their current wage structure in a bid to warn off any interested parties.

Ozil has scored six goals and laid on 18 assists in 34 Premier League appearances this season.
