Arsenal will reportedly loan out academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe during the January transfer window, along with a number of other prospects.

Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe will reportedly be loaned out to a Championship club before the end of the January transfer window.

After a disappointing temporary period at RB Leipzig last season, Smith Rowe has returned to the Gunners to make five starts and one substitute outing in all competitions.

However, despite making progress in the senior, The Athletic claims that Mikel Arteta wants the 19-year-old to continue his development elsewhere.

The report suggests that Smith Rowe will be one of a number of players - potentially a dozen - to leave on loan in the coming weeks.

The move comes despite Arsenal retaining ambitions in the FA Cup and Europa League, leaving open the possibility of a clogged fixture list during the closing months of the campaign.
