Arsenal are looking to sign Spartak Moscow midfielder Romulo in January in a deal which includes offering striker Yana Sanogo on loan, according to reports.
The 24-year-old Brazilian joined the Russian club from Vasco in 2012, making 18 appearances for Murat Yakin's charges following a long-term injury layoff.
The Express claims that Arsene Wenger, eager to recruit a midfield anchor to shore up the middle of the park, has earmarked Romulo for the role, with Spartak reportedly asking for £9.5m plus the loaning of Sanogo.
Romulo has been capped eight times for the Brazil national team.
