Lyon midfielder Maxime Gonalons has played down speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal by confirming that he will stay in France this summer.
The 24-year-old, who also reportedly attracted the interest of Napoli, has been rumoured to be leaving the former Ligue 1 champions.
However, Gonalons has outlined his intentions to stay at Lyon in order to develop and win silverware.
"Things are clear. I'm going to stay at Lyon next season because I still have things to learn and things to prove," Gonalons told RMC.
"I want to win with Lyon. I have been approached this summer and it's always good to know that you're been followed by great clubs."
Gonalons has three years left on his current deal at Lyon.
