Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson plays down speculation that Wilfried Zaha could leave Selhurst Park this summer.

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has played down speculation that Wilfried Zaha could leave Selhurst Park in this summer's transfer window.

The Ivory Coast international has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, while Everton are said to have recently joined the race for his services.

Zaha is said to have informed the Eagles that he wants to leave the club this summer. Hodgson, however, is expecting the 26-year-old to stay put amid a host of speculation.

"He has not spoken to me. I don't know if he's spoken to the club [asking to leave]," Hodgson told reporters. "As far as I'm concerned, he is coming back, he is our player and I've been given no information that the club is interested in selling him at the moment.

"I'm just expecting him back, looking forward to working with him and seeing some of the things he can do for us.

"I think he has got another 10 days or another week of holiday. I think he is back after we play Bristol City and before we play Hertha Berlin - that gives him his three weeks off. If he wants to come back earlier we will be very happy to see him."

Zaha, who represented Ivory Coast at this summer's Africa Cup of Nations, scored 10 times and registered 10 assists in 34 Premier League appearances last season.
