Denis Suarez will reportedly sign a new deal with Barcelona before joining Arsenal on a short-term loan deal ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.

Arsenal have reached a compromise with Barcelona for the signing of midfielder Denis Suarez, according to a report

The Gunners have been desperately attempting to bring in the 25-year-old this month to strengthen their top-four ambitions.

Unai Emery has publicly admitted that he has no money to sign players on permanent deals in the January window, however, forcing Arsenal to negotiate loan terms with Barcelona.

Following a couple of weeks of talks, The Mirror suggests that the North London outfit are now confident of pulling off a last-minute deal.

Suarez is said to have agreed to sign a contract extension at Camp Nou until 2021, helping the Spanish champions to protect their asset before loaning him to Arsenal.

Emery's men will then apparently have the option to sign the former Manchester City ace for £18m in the summer.

Arsenal have also been linked with Ivan Perisic, though Inter Milan are unlikely to loan out the Croatian winger for any period of time.
