Report: Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista to join Valencia for £10m

Gabriel Paulista is reportedly closing in on a £10m move to Valencia from Arsenal.

Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista is reportedly on the verge of joining Valencia in a £10m deal.

The Brazilian has struggled to hold down a regular spot in Arsene Wenger's team since his 2015 switch from Villarreal.

Last season, Gabriel started just 15 Premier League games, and the campaign ended on an even more disappointing note for the defender as he suffered knee ligament damage on the final day.

According to The Mirror, despite the 26-year-old still working his way back to fitness, a transfer to Valencia could be completed before the window shuts in just over a fortnight.

Gabriel cost Arsenal £15m when he moved to the Emirates two-and-a-half years ago.
