Napoli have reportedly increased their offer for Porto forward Jackson Martinez to £28m.
The 26-year-old, who scored 34 goals in 39 games for the Portuguese giants last season, is regarded as one of the best forwards in European football.
Napoli have already added Gonzalo Higuain to their forward line this summer, but it is believed that another striker is a priority.
Thus far the Italian outfit have been frustrated in their attempts to sign the Colombian, but according to Sky Sport Italia, the offer of £27m could force Porto's hand.
Arsenal have also been linked with Martinez's services.
