Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has confirmed an agreement is in place with West Ham United for Italy international Gianluca Scamacca.
The Hammers have already signed Nayef Aguerd, Alphonse Areola and Flynn Downes on permanent deals this summer.
A busy transfer window is set to continue, with Scamacca close to becoming West Ham's fourth addition of the transfer window after Sassuolo CEO Carnevali told Corriere dello Sport that an "agreement" has been reached.
Commenting on the potential move, Carnevali said: "There's an agreement with West Ham for €36m fee plus €6m add-ons and 10 per cent sell-on clause.
"I'm sure he will do great things, he's a huge talent and very good guy."
Scamacca had previously been linked with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, but the 23-year-old looks destined for West Ham, where he will provide competition for Michail Antonio.
The forward is set to leave Sassuolo after scoring 16 goals in 41 appearances for the club.
