Arsene Wenger admits that he could be busy in the January transfer window.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he expects to "be busy" during the January transfer window but will only make a move for the right player.

Wenger has been strongly linked with a move for Newcastle United's Demba Ba in recent days and, despite ruling out a transfer, admitted that he is playing his cards close to his chest.

"Yes, I will be busy," he told Arsenal's official website. "I don't feel under pressure to name names because [the media] find them on [their] own.

"We have the potential to be in the Champions League with what we have. We are open to strengthening the team, but the difficulty is to find what strengthens us."

The Gunners face Newcastle on Saturday evening at The Emirates.
