Arsene Wenger: Paul-Georges Ntep has "great future" ahead

Arsene Wenger admits that he is interested in Auxerre youngster Paul-Georges Ntep by claiming that the striker has a "great future" ahead of him.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has claimed that Auxerre hitman Paul-Georges Ntep has a "great future" in football providing the youngster remains motivated to achieve it.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Gunners in recent weeks, with Ntep admitting that life at the Emirates Stadium "appeals" to him.

It seems that the feeling is mutual, with Wenger confirming that Ntep has the potential necessary to enjoy a glittering career, but remains apprehensive over the striker's mentality.

He told Telefoot: "Paul George Ntep has the potential to have a great future. Whether he will or not all depends on his mind."

Ntep, who has hit three goals in eight appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit this season, remains contracted at the Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps until 2015.
