West Ham United close in on Carl Jenkinson?

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson will reportedly complete a loan move to West Ham United in the next 24 hours.

West Ham United have reportedly held talks with Carl Jenkinson over a potential loan move to Upton Park for the 2014-15 Premier League season.

Arsenal are willing to let the defender go out on loan after adding Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers to their squad this summer.

Hull City were reported to have closed a deal for the 22-year-old, but Sky Sports News now claims that the Hammers lead the race to sign him after meeting with Jenkinson earlier.

The report adds that the move is likely to be completed in the next 24 hours.
