Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has insisted that England's current crop have no excuses for failing to secure a place in next summer's World Cup finals.
Roy Hodgson's side currently sit two points behind leaders Montenegro in their qualifying group, with just one automatic place available in next summer's Brazil showpiece.
With three of their final four qualifiers to be played at home, Walcott thinks that his side should be more than capable of booking their place in Brazil without dropping any more points.
He told The Sun: "The fact is it shouldn't be a struggle. We play in the most powerful league in the world, we have many of the best players in the world and are competing against the best every week.
"We believe we are the best in the group and we should be at the top. If we aren't, we'll be absolutely gutted, not just for ourselves but the fans as well.
"There will be no excuses if we don't get to the finals, none at all. We've got a lot of games at home now which we need to win, you can't be dropping points at home."
The Three Lions finish their season with a pair of friendlies against the Republic of Ireland and Brazil next week.
