Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish returns to team training and is in line to return to action when Dean Smith's side face Fulham this weekend.

Aston Villa have received a massive injury boost after welcoming Jack Grealish back to first team training following the talisman's recent leg issue.

The 25-year-old sustained the problem before Villa's 2-1 defeat to Leicester City on February 21 and has now missed his side's last six Premier League matches, during which time Dean Smith's men have picked up just one top-flight win.

However, Villa uploaded a video to Twitter on Monday which showed Grealish with the ball at his feet during a training session, and he is expected to be fit and raring to go for their first match back after the international break - a home clash with Fulham this Sunday.

Wesley and Kortney Hause are also making good progress in their rehabilitation programmes from knee and ankle injuries respectively, so Smith could potentially be blessed with a clean bill of health heading into April.

Grealish scored six goals and assisted 12 more in the Premier League before sustaining his leg injury, and former Arsenal man Paul Merson recently claimed that Villa are a relegation side without the attacker leading from the front.
