Report: Paul Lambert to stay at Aston Villa

Aston Villa are set to confirm that Paul Lambert will stay in the charge of the club, according to reports.

Aston Villa are reportedly set to confirm that Paul Lambert will stay in the charge of the club.

Villa owner Randy Lerner put the club up for sale last week, with Lambert and Villa chief executive Paul Faulkner flying out to the USA for talks.

According to The Mirror, the talks were productive and Lerner has agreed that Villa can offer new contracts to players.

It is believed that Gary Gardner has been offered a one-year extension, and the club are also keen to keep hold of winger Marc Albrighton.
