Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish could come under scrutiny from the club's supporters prior to the clash with Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

Aston Villa supporters could protest against boss Alex McLeish prior to the match with Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

McLeish has failed to establish himself at Villa Park so far this season, and has come under stinging criticism from the website Vital Villa.

A statement read: "We have played 24 games this season, we have won six. Is this good enough? No. It's relegation form and McLeish is not the man to lead Aston Villa.

"He was given £20m to spend and has players like Bent, Agbonlahor and Ireland. But we are 13th and need to act before it is too late."

McLeish spent the bulk of his playing career with Aberdeen.
