Aston Villa will reportedly attempt to bolster their attacking options by swooping for Besiktas striker Alvaro Negredo.
Villa boss Steve Bruce has reportedly earmarked his attacking department as an area of his side that needs additions, with Jonathan Kodjia the club's only fit senior forward.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Villa will join Cardiff City in keeping tabs on the striker, who is expected to leave Turkey after just one season.
The report adds that while Cardiff are more likely to sign the former Manchester City attacker, new Villa owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens are backing Bruce in the market this summer.
Villa have brought in Axel Tuanzebe on loan from Manchester United as well as former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Andre Moreira, but the club face a battle to keep hold of midfielder Jack Grealish before Thursday evening.
