Wolfsburg look set to beat Aston Villa to the signature of Dutch strike Bas Dost, according to reports in Germany.
The 22-year-old tops the Eredivisie scoring charts having scored 28 goals in 31 games for Heerenveen this season.
Dost's impressive return has caught the eye of Villa manager Alex McLeish.
According to German newspaper Bild, the Bundesliga outfit are close to agreeing a fee for the former Under-21 international.
Dost, who is valued at around £7m, moved to Heerenveen from Heracles Almelo for £2.8m in 2010.
