Report: Aston Villa open to Gabriel Agbonlahor offers

A report claims that Aston Villa will not try to stop Gabriel Agbonlahor from leaving the club if they receive a suitable offer in January.

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has reportedly decided that he will consider any offers that are made for Gabriel Agbonlahor during next month's transfer window.

Aside from two brief loan spells at Watford and Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham-born Agbonlahor has spent his entire career at Villa, for whom he has scored 84 goals in all competitions.

However, following his appointment last month, Garde has been less than impressed by the 29-year-old's performances in training, according to The Telegraph.

The report adds that should an acceptable bid be received in January, Villa do not intend to block Agbonlahor's departure.

The striker was omitted from the matchday squad for Sunday's 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Arsenal.
