Aston Villa are considering a bid for Real Betis midfielder Benat.
The 24-year-old former Spanish youth-international has been a regular in Pepe Mel's starting XI this season, as the club have established themselves in La Liga's mid-table.
Benat, who moved to Betis from Athletic Bilbao is 2009, is hopeful of a move to England and would be available for £4m, according to The Sun.
He said: "I'm so motivated by news there is interest."
Alex McLeish is keen to make multiple additions to his squad in the summer and has also been linked with a bid for Fulham striker Andy Johnson.
