Adrian Lopez signs new Atletico Madrid deal

Adrian Lopez signs a new long-term contract with Atletico Madrid until 2018.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has confirmed that Adrian Lopez has signed a new long-term contract with the Spanish outfit until 2018.

The 25-year-old's existing deal was due to expire at the end of next season, but speculation linking him with a move away from Madrid has now been ended.

"Adrian is a great player and a great guy. He gives everything for this team," Cerezo told reporters at a press conference.

Adrian, who has enjoyed a regular run in Diego Simeone's first XI this season, joined Atletico from Deportivo La Coruna in 2011.
