Agent: 'Villarreal an option for Leo Baptistao'

Atletico Madrid forward Leo Baptistao could join Villarreal on loan next season, according to his agent.

The agent of Atletico Madrid forward Leo Baptistao has claimed that his client could join Villarreal on loan next season.

The Brazilian moved to Atletico from Rayo Vallecano last summer but failed to settle at the Vicente Calderon, before joining Real Betis on loan for the final six months of the season.

It is understood that Baptistao is not part of Atletico's plans for the 2014-15 season and his agent Javier Rangel has hinted at a move to the Yellow Submarine.

"Villarreal is certainly an option that is best suited [for Baptistao] and the player feels that's the most favourable. Villarreal gives us the profile that we're looking for," Rangel told reporters.

Baptistao, 21, has four years remaining on his contract with the La Liga champions.
