Bayern Munich's Uli Hoeness wary of Barcelona

Uli Hoeness admits that he would have preferred Bayern Munich to play Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund and not Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has admitted that it will be difficult for his side to beat Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.

The newly crowned German champions will host Tito Vilanova's team at the Allianz Arena in Munich next week and will travel to the Catalan city for the second leg next month.

"Barcelona was the most difficult tie that we could have had," he told Servus TV. "We wanted to play the first game away and the return at home, but that did not happen either.

"This aside, the more I think, this is a great challenge and if you want to win the Champions League then you have to beat every team. Also, I'm not convinced that they wanted us either."

In the other semi-final tie, Real Madrid will lock horns with Borussia Dortmund.
