Half-Time Report: Barcelona 1-0 Valencia

Adriano's spectacular strike gives Barcelona the advantage over Valencia at half time.

A spectacular strike from Adriano has given Barcelona a 1-0 half-time lead over Valencia at the Nou Camp.

The hosts have found Los Che a tough nut to crack, and nearly fell behind when Roberto Soldado curled a right-footed effort just wide.

Barca went ahead in the 22nd minute when a short corner from the left found its way to Adriano just outside the area.

The full-back galloped inside before letting fly from 20 yards with his right foot, giving Diego Alves no chance as it flew into the top corner.

Cesc Fabregas nearly made it two when he was played in by Lionel Messi, but the midfielder hit the post with a chipped effort.

Valencia struggled to create anything substantial in the first half, but only trail by one goal.
